Kirsti Alopaeus
Kirsti Alopaeus is a Finnish-born artist who has spent much of her life in various parts of Latin and North America.She studied art and sculpture in Canada, Puerto Rico and Mexico, and now resides and paints on the shores of the Caribbean.
The vibrant colors and bold expression of her oils and acrylics, many of them depictions of latin women, still life and nature scenes, attest to her love for and identification with the tropics.
