Originally
from Huntington Beach, California, Peter, who has
been an avid surfer for over 33 years, now makes
his home in Zihuatanejo, Mexico.
With a degree
in commercial art from Foothill College, Los Altos
Hills, Peter started location painting here in 1994. The majority
of his work is oil on canvas.
In 1988, Peter
designed, built and marketed "The Giant Wave Photography
Prop", a surf sculpture used as a photographic backdrop
and of which, between 1989 and 1991, 28 were sold in England, Australia,
Canada and the United States.
Peter's work
with "The Wave", in association with
Mak'n Waves, Inc., was featured in Entrepreneur
magazine in 1989 and again as the cover story in August, 1991. Comments
and articles on his artwork and "The Wave" have made it
to the front pages of 54 U.S. newspapers.
From 1994 on,
Peter became known for his Surf and Beach Art.
His paintings have appeared in numerous art shows and festivals,
including:
